Rove was cleared of this chickensh*t charge years ago. The federal prosecutor established that it was Richard Armitage who told Bob Novak Valerie Plame worked for the CIA. But Andrea Mitchell said on CNBC that most of the Washington press knew Plame and figured she was the one who recommended her underemployed, inept husband for his misadventure in Niger.

I'm sure the next time Rove goes to a book signing he'll bring along some ex-special forces people as event planners.

I haven't read it. I will. He was the last of a classic breed—a hard charging reporter. I always read his column wherever I happened to be. To me, one of great moments was when he was sitting in a panel on camera at CNN and didn't like the barbed comments other “pundits” were tossing around.
“This is just shit,” he said, unhooked his mic and walked off the show.

I am almost finished with Novak’s book. It is fascinating and tells the blunt truth. His criticisms of squishy Republicans or even conservatives (like Gingrich) who do not act conservative sheds a lot of light on the political situation of the last few decades.

As far as Rove’s book event goes, this is typical. At the same time the media run with this hysteria over “right wing hate” we see exactly where the real thuggery and intolerance comes from. So when is the last time a left wing speaker/author got threatened like this and had to cancel an appearance??

Does anyone have a documented report of conservative groups disrupting or attacking leftist speakers? I didn’t think so. Virtually all fascist behavior exhibited towards speakers of whatever political stripe consists of leftists attacking conservatives. Or anyone who is not a leftist as Camille Paglia, definitely not a conservative, has found out.

I believe the the whole Death Threat Drama of 2010 is being orchestrated out of the White House the same way they directed the political theater surrounding the AIG Bonus Outrage a year ago.
