“Shoot, that’s mild. Lately some here have called her ‘the enemy’, a ‘socialist’, a ‘traitor to the country’ and worse.”
.
That would be the 35 Anti-freepers that have appointed themselves to “put the heat on” Palin. (yes, laughing is appropriate)

I don’t think that Sarah would even consider having Perry as her veep. He better save his pennies.

political favoritism and "favors" over integrity and ideals....isn't that a lot of whats gotten us into this mess in the first place No. You're confusing yourself, equating the return of favors with political corruption. All you need in order to tell the difference is common sense.

Ah no, I’m not confused at all about this...it doesn’t necessarily need to involve political corruption (I never said it did), but in many cases it can. It just isn’t a characteristic I particularly admire in leaders.
I have plenty of common sense; and my standards are different from yours.

I said you conflated Exhibit A (Palin returning a favor to McCain), with Exhibit B (what you called “a lot of whats gotten us into this mess in the first place”).
Exhibit B is is political corruption. Exhibit A is not.
That’s the distinction I was talking about.
