Ya know what’s funny, I just watched a report where Florida farmers are throwing away strawberries becasue they can’t afford to pick them and people (looks like the Obama crowd) are furious.
At the same time I wonder where the reports and anger is around not getting the oil that is right off the shore in our own backyard. It’s worth alot more than a few strawberries.

My husband and I own and operate a small contract manufacturing plant. One of our products is used in offshore oil exploration, and we cannot produce them fast enough. The company for which we produce them has doubled its basic order 4 times in the last year.
Who are the ultimate customers? Mostly the Chinese and the Russians. We are prohibited from drilling and they are drilling everywhere.
Very short sighted on the part of our government.

and America takes another one in the........ There is no less freedom to drill in those offshore waters as there was under Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush.
However, the only way there will be a real push for more offshore drilling in the US is for oil to reach and maintain a price at or above $100.00 a barrel.
Until then, there in not enough money for us to drill for that domestic oil.
That means building a new generation of safe, clean nuclear power plants in this country. It means making tough decisions about opening new offshore areas for oil and gas development.
