The right way to wean the people off of Medicare is to allow younger people to opt out.

The wrong way is to drastically slash it now, as they are doing, essentially giving those who have paid into the program all their lives and who now depend on it, the "Soylent Green" treatment.

A lot of people paid for Medicare out of their paychecks and they will now not receive what they paid for.

I don't think that's a good thing.

No, we don’t want them cutting Medicare when these people have paid into it all their lives. I think you have bought into the “evil Republicans want to take away your coverage” that the media repeats ad neaseum.

That's OK, as long as you return their lifetime contributions, plus what their employers paid on their behalf, plus interest.
