Vanity: A Modest Proposal
Self

Posted on 03/26/2010 3:15:05 PM PDT by Thom Pain

I propose that the GOP Congress push for IMMEDIATE adoption of Obamacare! The Dims have structured the plan so that the catastrophe will not become apparent to the 0bamabots until after his 2012 re-election. If we demand immediate implementation the Dims won't be able to hide. They won't be able to delay while "... 127 people per day die" and they won't be able to explain how we must continue to wait "...after 100 years of struggle..." to create this "benefit". I also propose a phased implementation of 20% of states per year so as not to "overwhelm" the bureaucracy. And, just to be fair, I propose that we either start with the 10 sates that are deepest in debt (since this law will "reduce the deficit") or start with the 10 states that provided the widest margins to 0bama in 2008 (just to "thank" them for their support and "create jobs".

Please comment.

I want to call the b**tards out and not let them skate for several years. If it's so great we can't afford to wait and the "30 - 40 million without coverage" shouldn't suffer any longer. Let's put them in the position of exposing the catastrophe or voting against their own legislation!

I disagree.

(1) The delay gives us time to repeal/defund before any real damage is done.
(2) The fact that nothing will come of it until 2014 (i.e. nobody’s getting any “change”) is a good campaign platform — if its so great, why wait?

At what point do we go, “Let’s both go to Hell and a Handbasket together and just see who is more tuned for survial, the people who see self reliance as a postive trait or those who claim helplessness is!”

At what point do we step out of the way and let them hang themselves on their own crappy policies while we stock up and hunker down?

My sense is that the feedback from the cluster f**k of the first 10 to 20 states that jump on board will cause it to be sh*t-canned before it goes nation-wide. It will be a whole lot easier to un-f**k 10 - 20 sates than 57!

And if the stupes who adopt it want to keep it we can identify the states to give to Mexico and get them off of my balance sheet.

re: repeal

Unless Justice Roberts steps in right now and issues a stay order it will be way too late before the law suits go through the lower (read LIBERAL) courts.

We have to win the House and Boehner said he would DEFUND. The lawsuits have to be pushed hard too.

Winning the Senate would also help. Be prepared for them to fight back, smear, threaten, try to steal the election, etc.,

Win the House - DEFUND DEFUND DEFUND DEFUND

I agree. I just don’t trust the IDIOTS who stayed home in 2008 and the IDIOTS who bought in to “hopey changey” to stay on focus through the Summer. And, I don’t trust Rahm Ahmanuel and friends to just sit around waiting for November. Remember, they have complete control of the press. And, we will be busy fighting Amnesty, Crap & Tax, etc between now and then.

If the idiots who stayed home in 2008 stay home - their lives will be screwed forever.

The press is under their total control. I have told people if 1 million people cancelled cable and sat TV - we could raise $385 million in campaign funds.

People would rather be serfs than give up TV. I will never go back to TV.
