Well the Far left finally got what they wanted... More socialism. It was no surprise to me. Whenever we have prosperity, the government grows bigger and bigger. When the economy recedes and when jobs and opportunities become scare (usually the result of said government reaching its tentacles out to destroy our God given freedoms both economic and personal.) The government becomes bigger and bigger and even more massive the more so. It seems that the only answers the Democrats have to our problems is even more socialism.
Since the early part of the last decade I have known that it was only a matter of time that so called free health care would arrive to the United states. Along with it would come the negative consequences that came with it similar to what we witnessed in the Soviet Union and in the UK. The thing is though that this bill really isn't like the NHS or the health care they get in Finland or Sweden or in Norway. It is more like what we got in that bastion of socialism called Massachusetts. The irony of it all is that a republican gave it to us.
So far the liberals have been doing their best to stuff it down and downplay the truth about the health care bill like it was as big a breakthrough as the creation of social security. The thing is it is probably as big a breakthrough as when we had mandatory car insurance crammed down our throats or when The federal reserve was created or when FDR's new deal undermined our free economy and made our depression worse.
Still, a few liberals have made it known to all that this is NOT the health care that will give us freebies for all and usher in a new age of socialist utopia, rather it is the bill that will benefit the wealthy few and the many poor. Community action groups especially those that work with the homeless have condemned the health care bill and many liberals on the blog sphere have shared their disgust.
Yet still, the leftist media and the newspapers have praised the bill and Obama, comparing the bill to social security and the failed new deal while lauding Obama as another FDR. Liberal pundits have said very little about the nature of this bill and its disastrous effects it will have on not only the middle class, but poor people and minorities, the very people liberals claim to be for.
Not to worry though! Someday socialists will have the free health care reform they always wanted. Freebies for illegal aliens and bums, death panels for the elderly and disabled, rationed and ineffective health care and long waiting lines. In fact some of us will be turned away and told to take an aspirin. Yes, liberals just can't wait to bankrupt our country and enslave us. I am livid over this statement. The dems and thuggery gave it to us. It is true that Republicans lost their way the last 10 years, but to blame republicans, or any specific republican is outrageous.
This kind of rhetoric causes us to take our eye off of the target.
I apologize. I don’t like what Romney did. Its a shame no one in that state ever got a lawsuit all the way to the supreme court declaring it unconstitutional. If they did it might have averted this disaster.
I also do not like what Romney did, but quite frankly, it is none of my business since I do not live in MA. Between you and me, the dem machine and thuggery probably would have got their way with health care even if MA did not have it.
