It's easy to spot the informant in the group: he's the one agitating to do something illegal.
It doesn't matter that you've known him for years -- what happened is the feds entrapped him in some illegal act, and told him the only way out of his legal mess is to help them entrap others. It's what the BATF tried to do to Randy Weaver -- he died because he told them to shove it.
