So shall we start a pool on when the ‘DemonRATS’ pull there own Riechstag Fire followed by a kristallnacht?

I am think a Flase Flag 'Riechstag Fire' event around April 15 to stop Tax Day Tea Party protest followed by the raiding of Tea Party offices, Republican Party offices and possible some Congressional offices (of course things will be found)by August there by postponing November elections.

The last I remember the DA, a Democrat, was not real enthusiastic about prosecuting the case.

>“Kristalnacht’s” are always *a lot* more fun for little Nazis, in places where the targets don’t wear “team remington” T-shirts while they fondle their 870. Won’t happen here,,,

The “Kristalnacht” doesn’t have to happen everywhere at once. Furthermore, there may be more than one “Reichstag Fire” for America. Imagine several of the ‘Fires’ in TX, CA, and MA.

CA, MA, and NYC would probably all be frightened into cracking down on guns. Then, if there could be a [semi-]reasonable way to ‘finger’ CCW and/or “reciprocal [firearm] licensing” among the states, those liberties themselves will be attacked.

But, regardless of those, be on the lookout for laws which are in themselves contra-constitutional. For a state example, consider the following two links:
http://www.conwaygreene.com/nmsu/lpext.dll/nmsa1978/1/a/16?fn=document-frame.htm&f=templates&2.0
http://www.conwaygreene.com/nmsu/lpext.dll/nmsa1978/9b0/efc5/f17d/f1a5?fn=document-frame.htm&f=templates&2.0
As you can see the statute in the second is from 1978 and completely contradicts both the litter and the spirit of the State Constitution, as given in the first link.

Riechstag Fire

I remember one way to control the opposition.

Following the JFK assassination the left immediately blamed Oswald's actions on the emerging modern conservative movement's criticism of the President. (Clinton tried to use OKC.)

Joe Pyne was run off the air by an enraged portion of the public. I believe he was syndicated on hundreds of stations nationwide. Things were pretty quiet and controlled until 1987.

So what if Obama's Chicago Mob decides to sacrifice someone? Obviously it will be a lesser official. A congressman? A senator? Someone in the Administration? Who?

Of course talk radio will be blamed. It's a way to stir up popular demand and immediately silence (fire) the opposition, especially radio's Savage, Beck, Levin, Rush, Hannity . . . .

Obama's Rightwags Fire [ing]. :)

Yeah, that Hitler guy is just trying to get the Germans their self-esteem back! Ignore his Mein Kampf book, and the anti-Semitism, that's just red meat for his base.

RE: "So who will be Obama’s Vince Foster/Ron Brown?"

The short response is: if you want to cite something from the Clinton years vis-à-vis my comments use the OKC bombing. Clinton attempted to tie the bombing to talk radio's "anti-government" rhetoric.

more ..

The Left to a large extent was able to tie the emerging modern conservative movement's criticism of government to the JFK assassination. Such phrases as "climate of hate" were oft used to describe modern conservatives. Prominent journalists such as James "Scotty" Reston decried the violence of the conservative movement.

Though I remember TV network news employees attempting to tie conservatives to violent extremists, I read about but I do not remember the specific case where Walter Cronkite attempted to tie Barry Goldwater to the JFK assassination.

Cronkite claimed that he asked Goldwater about the assassination and Goldwater replied with a brusque "No comment." Cronkite later apologized for the inaccurate report. I'd be very surprised if the story weren't true.

That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about.

Finally, IMO the 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus/street rabble and their ideological issue just might not wait for a tragedy to happen -- that puts me close to a "truther" but there's a difference -- the murderous acts of groups like the Weather Underground were contemporaneous events for me.

Have a look in the mirror.
Stupid is stupid, regardless of which side of the aisle it originates from.

Oh please. To compare anything Bush did to what Obama is doing is an insult. Absolutely Bush was a Statist, he was nowhere near a Constitutionalist or a Conservative, but this Obama guy is a Communist. If one wishes to say Bush laid the groundwork for Obama, amen. But to somehow equate them is ideologically myopic...

I'm not comparing Obama to Bush.

I'm pointing out the similarity between the chicken littles on both sides.

It's a shame FreeRepublic's archives aren't more easily accessible, as the present nonsense is not only repackaged nonsense from the Bush administration's less astute detractors, that nonsense was itself mereley repackaged nonsense from the Clinton administration's detractors, as I recall reading more than one thread hereabouts back then along the very same lines.

In summary, recycled garbage, which is what this is, is still garbage.
