Can anyone confirm there’s a 4% home sales tax included in the bill? I’ve heard different sources discussing it.
A VAT or National Sales tax will not be passed by a Republican controlled House and Senate. Let’s put aside our differences within the GOP long enough to make sure that happens.
The writer does a grave disservice by repeatedly conflating a national sales tax and a VAT, or Value-Added Tax.
He obviously knows little about his subject.
Very well written Marc, too bad it’s all bad news. This is a reason to redouble the effort to remove anybody from congress who’ll be voting to retain Pelosi as the Speaker.
