I have not taken the guy seriously for years. I also am rarely exposed to him though.

Oreiley’s shtick is “moderate at all costs” In politics, "moderate" means unprincipled, can be persuaded either way the wind blows.
Like the song says..."You've gotta stand for something, or you'll fall for anything."
I wouldn't call O'reily an idiot, but I agree that he is an unprincipled attention whore...and that he usually sucks.
