MY SAY-A WORD TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS

After months of holding my tongue and waiting for the Healthcare bill to pass or not, I am ready to have my say. Many family and friends have bombarded me with questions and have asked my opinion on this healthcare bill, I guess they seem to think I am some sort of political wonk. I am not, but I will say that I stay more informed than most people. So, I guess I am one of the 30 percenters and proudly so.

In light of the signing of the HealthCare bill today, I am struck with the irony that today is the 235 year anniversary of the speech by the great patriot Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775.

There are quotes in the speech that strike me as so apropos and on par as to what has happened to this great Republic, and reflects my feelings today.

“There is no time for ceremony. The question before the house is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of FREEDOM or SLAVERY; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of debate. It is only this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility of which we hold God and our country. “

“Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason toward my country, and a act of disloyalty towards the majesty of heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.”

This bill a great victory for the American People? Are they kidding me? To get this bill passed, (and I might add against the will of 56% of the American people, and once the reality of just what they are in for comes to light, I suspect that 56% will climb,) they lied, blackmailed, made backroom deals with other congressmen, pharma, insurance companies, and unions and God knows who.

Attorney Generals around this great nation are filing lawsuits to stop this. I only hope it gets fast tracked to the Supreme Court of the United States.

As Patrick Henry’s words echo in my mind “For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of FREEDOM or SLAVERY.” What this administration has done, is to make us all slaves of the federal government.

This was not about healthcare, this whole thing was about raw power and control over the American People. This has been years and years in the making. Why do you all think they fought for this so hard and circumvented the Constitution to do so?

To those who wanted this…Did you ever stop to realize the price you paid and your children and grandchildren? You held out your hands and let the federal government shackle your hands and feet. You now exist and work for the collective. Well, I am not a borg!!! If you want the government to control your life and the lives of your children, that is YOUR CHOICE!!! You have no right to condemn your children and your grandchildren to a life of being a slave for the government. You certainly have no right to condemn my grandchildren along with yours.

There is nowhere in the Constitution that the federal government is mandated to provide any healthcare or anything else for me. NOWHERE!!! Do you have any idea or any since of history what it means to live under the rule of a central socialist government? Have you talked to anyone who has?

This administration and the people who work for it are admitted socialists. Obama himself has stated that they are going to fundamentally change the United States of America. You know, the place since the revolutionary war where men and women shed their blood protecting? What is the matter with you people.

Since when do people trust the government? Government exists to take you liberties away, and they did a bang up job this time. If government healthcare is so important why does it not kick in until 2014? According to Obama and Pelosi, people are dying left and right dropping like flies due to lack of healthcare. A 150 Americans a day which I think is about 180,000 Americans will die between now and 2014. And if you believe that I have some ocean front property in Arizona I want to sell you. We witnessed a constant stream of victims who told us so. It got to a point of a perverse joke. Now some of this so call benefits are going to be in effect within the next 6 months just in time for the mid-term elections of course. Don’t fall for this….The bitter pill will come in the next few years, then it will be too late, or at least harder to reverse.

The federal government is forging chains for us. Not physical ones of course, but in the form of the IRS who will be enforcing the healthcare mandate. Think about that. They are hiring over 16,000 IRS agents to monitor YOU!!! With all the calling, writing, protesting begging and pleading, it has to this point been to no avail. The question now is how much are we going to allow them to take from us?

I urge the States to stand up to the federal government and refuse to comply. They are taking us down a road that will lead to our ruin if nothing is done.

In the words of the great Patrick Henry, I will say this:

“They tell us sir that we are weak -- unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be next week? Or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance, by lying supinely on our backs, and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?”

Well, I for one am going to take up the challenge Patrick Henry laid down. I am going to get more involved in the Tea party movement, 912, and state and federal representatives to work on trying to reverse this thing. If you value this republic, you will do the same.

Individually I am going to do my part. I have no intentions in complying with this. I will risk a fine and or go to jail if I must. I for one am not going to give my freedom or liberty away, it is not for sale.
