My guess is that law abiding people don’t want to harm the US, even the government, and don’t want to participate in any act of violence or insurrection

The operative phrase in your summation is "don't want". Any thinking and logical person would never want violence and insurrection to come to pass in this great land. On the flip side thinking and logical people know that sometimes violence and insurrection is the only way to turn back evil. Make no mistake about it, that is exactly what we are facing here. It is evil in the form of replacing God's sovereignty with a man made government that can dictate what rights we have, and don't have.

Our forefathers understood it all to well, and shed their blood for the principle. I think they would have long ago put a stop to what has been going on in our country for these past decades. I don't know when/if it will come about; it is better to be prepared and not have it happen than the other way around, though.

“Does anyone else think if they pass it there will be riots and unrest?”

Yes. Yes, I do.

You can’t tax us without giving us a voice, a vote.

Pass this with no vote, and yes, I *do* think there would be serious, serious problems.

Oh, well, let them laugh. We’ll have the last laugh when to come to us in a job interview in the near future. Won’t that be fun?

“Oscar’s Cuba” shows us harrowing evidence of the repressive tactics of the Castros. We have known for years that the regime employs hand-picked mobs of citizens to terrify dissidents; in “Oscar’s Cuba” we see such a mob firsthand, gathered in front of Dr Biscet’s house. An old man yells, bizarrely, “down (abajo) with human rights!” “¡Abajo!” answers another viejo in a Che Guevara t-shirt. A younger man starts chanting, “¡Esta calle es de Fidel! ¡Esta calle es de Fidel!” (“This street belongs to Fidel!”) A couple of middle-aged women join in hysterically and soon the whole crowd is shouting the inane mantra. In a normal society, you would call the police to break up such an unhinged mob in front of your house. In Cuba, the police were the ones who organized and sent this mob in the first place. If the mob gets violent and physically beats you, there is nobody to call for help. In fact, the actions of the mob are considered those of model citizens by the regime. This is a society that is upside down, crazy.

Don’t expect any more Town Hall type meetings with congressmen after they pass this. They won’t show up “in the district” on 4th of July either without heavy security.

If we use rules the way they do, we could retroactively deem their retirement benefits to be null and void. Remember that Clinton retroactively raised our taxes, so there is the retroactive thing and now we have the deeming. Once the rules are tossed all is possible and all is impossible. We learned this when we played games as children.

“Too bad they can’t be denied the benefits of the office held (i.e., retirement checks).”

Perhaps this can be taken care of with a simple majority vote of the next Congress? Take away the retirement benefits of anyone who voted yes on this? Might be a good campaign promise? Wouldn’t it be delicious to have it pass by “slaughter” rule?

Once the rules are tossed all is possible and all is impossible. We learned this when we played games as children.

This is the scary part. Our self-proclaimed elites had better be careful.

As long as many of us were fat and happy with enough material goods and plenty of toys, no one was going to do anything rash. But now, I think enough of us are living marginal lives and doing things we never imagined we would have to do as prudent, thoughtful people merely to survive. I don't know what will happen, but slamming people with a fresh round of taxes and starting another wave of huge job losses is not going to lead to tranquillity.

Angry people, hungry people, people not able to afford things like electricity and basic food by the millions are not going to play nice with this president with his fancy beef and celebrity parties.

Eventually, even the majority of black Americans will have to realize that their world is caving in like everyone else's, and when Obama loses them, then he is lost. No one else is defending him these days.

Rally your local talk radio host into doing street protest in front of your reps local offices. Try and get the local media to cover it. Hammer the Medicare/SS issue, nothing like mad grannies and gramps.

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try. The ones on the one post are senate aides, a few have bounced back, it’s worth the effort to clog up their email system along with the phones, and 1/3rd of these senators are up for re-election.

Mail must be inspected for anthrax.

Contact congressional aides.

Remember they are all being offered BRIBES for their votes. Ask them how much their bribe price is.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!
