On March 11, Porteous, a Clinton appointee to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, was impeached by the House on a startling vote of 423 "yeas" for impeachment

If Alcee Hastings is any indication, he'll soon be a voting member of the House.

Sadly true. Porteous could run against Cao and probably win. If memory serves, not very much time passed between Hastings' impeachment and his subsequent election to Congress.
