Can’t wait for the day when she can see the Potomac from her house.
“Cant wait for the day when she can see the Potomac from her house.”
Tina Fey said that, not Sarah Palin.
Russia can be seen from three sites in Alaska:
1. The LRRS radar station on the western most mainland of Alaska. 55 miles to Russia and you can see the Siberian mountains.
2. From an island (St. Michaels?) that is 37 miles from Russia
3. From Little Diomede island you can see Big Diomede island which is Russian. The distance is 2.5 miles and if you can avoid border patrols, you can walk to Big Diomede when the strait freezes over.
This information is, BTW, 4th or 5th grade level and is generally taught under the category of “Astonishing things about Alaska”. In other words, everyone knows this, unless you were sleeping in class.
The Tina Fey comment that you paraphrase leads me to believe that you can’t separate fact from fantasy.
