An Important Message for Blue Dog Democrats

They need to fear more than their loss of their congressional seat. Obama is in a position to offer every defeated member a lucrative job in the Administration or NGOs or friendly private firms. He is also in a position to punish opponents by release of records, funding leftist opponents, and whatever other dirty tricks are at hand. Congressmen need to fear the people more than Obama.

And, then follow up the Samuel Adams words with these from John Adams:

"Found in: John Adams, The Works of John Adams, vol. 4 (Novanglus, Thoughts on Government, Defence of the Constitution) - NO. III. - paragraph 144

"Obsta principiis (translation: resist the beginnings), nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers, and destroyers press upon them so fast, that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon the American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour. The revenue creates pensioners, and the pensioners urge for more revenue. The people grow less steady, spirited, and virtuous, the seekers more numerous and more corrupt, and every day increases the circles of their dependents and expectants, until virtue, integrity, public spirit, simplicity, and frugality, become the objects of ridicule and scorn, and vanity, luxury, foppery, selfishness, meanness, and downright venality swallow up the whole society."

These so-called "blue dog" Democrats will go down in history as the team that hastened the demise of the American Republic, just as American citizens were being awakened from their deep sleep and neglect of their role as "KEEPERS" of the Constitution (Justice Story). Had the Blue Dogs been statesmen for liberty, instead of cowards for Obama, liberty might have survived for generations, as the citizenry rediscovered the foundations of their Declaration of Independence and Constitutional protections.

Throughout history, the worst crimes against a nation or group of people has been done under the pretense of doing some act of charity. For instance, in Scripture, Judas pretended to care for the poor as a facade for his greed. This is a trick that goes back to Adam and Eve. Obama and the other socialists are using the pretense of caring for the sick and poor as the ruse for turning the United States into a socialistic nation in which the government controls every activity and thought of the populace.
