The MSM news was on in the background last night, and they were talking about homosexuality in Uganda, and how they made laws against it there. The ENTIRE segment was how evangelical christians "caused" this, and that visiting US pastors stirred "all" this "homophobia" up.
On a daily basis now there is some type of attack against christians and conservatives and our values. Its a page right out of Alinsy's book. We are being villainized and marginalized.
Its not just the frequency thats picked up, its the fervor also.
Our economy has been brought to the tipping point. Just the slightest nudge will send it crashing down (and the rest of the world with it). Every day there seems to be another story about home foreclosures, or people who are underwater with their mortgages, just walking away. People never realizing they are selling themselves into slavery. When everything crashes, and people are over their heads in debt, with nothing to back it up, and the economy gone, non existant, then government will come along (Or people will look to government) to "save" people. People will gladly trade their birthright (freedom) for a bowl of porridge.
People will live in houses they won't own (and can't), food will be rationed, so that everyone is equal. Medical care will be rationed. All this "provided" by the government.
Culminating in one man gaining control of the entire thing.
What amazes me are "christians" who don't see it. To me its as plain as day. I've been watching for it, and I see it ALL around. In the past I could see things, a little here, a little there. But over the last 1-1/2 to 2 years, its as if the wagon got pushed to the top of the hill, and finally over the top, and now we're on the mad dash ride down.
More and more I pray and look to God for guidance and wisdom for whats upcoming. For strength and fortitude. How much longer until Christians everywhere will be treated like the early Christians were?
I realize DARK days are up ahead...But then I dhift my focus just a little further out. There is a GREAT DAY approaching, and that is what we are to live for.
We are in the here and now. Our time is running out. Time to reach others for Christ.
I too have noticed the intensity of the attacks (mostly verbal at this point)increasing. My response? Don't crawl, don't walk, but RUN to God, RUN to a Bible believing/teaching Church.
