The Search Engine for FreeRepublic isn’t working. There have been at least a half a dozen or so articles posted about Corey’s death. You search corey and NOTHING comes up.

What’s up with that?

“License to Drive” with Corey Feldman was a good flick, too.

Peace and comfort to his family. It’s a shame so many actors of this era caved to substance abuse. I suppose the meteoric rise to fame and a windfall bankroll to blow on anything and everything has an inevitable fatalism.

Wonder why any thinking person would want to jump into the Hollywood sewer.

A funny and talented kid. What a waste. I used to rent his movies for my kids and laughed as hard as they did. Condolences to his family.

Just saw an interview with his Agent on Headline News, and it is not likely a drug overdose. He was sick (fever) and may have pulled a Heath Ledger, mixing 2 or 3 meds that don’t play well. He was very very adamant that Haim was not back on drugs, he was in therapy, he’d seen his Dr earlier, and he collapsed in his home. His Mom was keeping an eye on him at the time after he told her he was having trouble breathing... collapse shortly afterward.

Wasn’t he the one who played Mouth in The Goonies?

So hope its worth it to those parents to have encouraged their children to get into the industry. The problem is when you put a kid into the industry they are surrounded by people that tell them they are wonderful. Thus their identity is falsely formed by people on the set and fans saying how wonderful they are. The problem ends when the movie is over. It is as though those kids are cut adrift and no longer feel connected to their identities, because the only time they feel connected is when they are being adored by others. Thus their identity is dependent on the actions of others. Resulting in a sense of desperation to be accepted by people so they feel okay within themselves.

Thus a drive towards drugs that separates them from the feeling of bleeding to death of knowing who they are but can’t have it validated because they can’t force people to faun all over them. Thus their parents have set up a trap door that has no other result than to open up and to drop their kids lives into a free fall of disconnectedness.

So be warned all those that are desperate to have your children excel because you never had that in your lives. Develop their Identities in God first. God is immovable he does not change and He loves them. They can not do anything to make him love them less. It is an internal identity NOT an external identity based on behavioral acceptance. Huge effect folks.
