White families were happily adopting black children until liberals (white and black) decided that black children should not be raised "white" but "black" as their parents are.
It's the "black experience" that the child in question, would miss out on, say the libs, so the interracial adoptions were put on the shelf.
Exactly, we had a foster child whose mother was blond haired blue eyed American and whose father was a very dark skinned Central American. The baby was classified bi-racial. We had him almost two years and wanted to adopt, but were told that some association of Black and Hispanic social workers would oppose us at every step. He had to be placed in a Hispanic home to uphold his cultural ties. He loved us and we him. We were the only family he knew from 6 weeks until almost 2 years of age. He called us Mommy and Daddy. In the end the mother decided not to surrender and custody was returned to her.
Did I mention she was a crack addict and had used during her pregnancy? He was born addicted! Her “rights” and the cultural backgound of his imprisoned and then deported illegal immigrant father mattered more to the system than that poor child did.
My SIL (evil white woman) legally adopted 3 black and biracial children that she fostered from the time they were 2 weeks old. She got all three at the same time. She was in her early 50s at the time, the kids are now all 10 years old.
BTW, all three were crack babies. One is autistic and the other two average/normal.
She and husband have never taken any crap from white or black people on it. Though it’s been offered. Everyone in the family (all us white folks) have been quite supportive.
No one else wanted the kids. Was that condescending of her to adopt them? It’s hard to imagine the hell their lives would be now if she had not taken them.

And yet liberals want homosexuals to adopt heterosexual children. Go figure!
