Amazingly, anyone denied a UIPA request for records has the automatic right to a judicial appeal where the record in question is viewed by the judge behind closed doors. The burden of proof is on the state and you are guaranteed expedited service through the courts

We don’t know of any attorneys willing to take a case though—that’s the real problem.=)

IMO, it speaks volumes about the so-called lawyers that are working on the eligibility issue. Why haven’t any of them filed a judicial appeal—standing is AUTOMATIC.

It bugs me.
