Unless the incorrectly-quoted paraphrase is exactly what she wants people to think she said. She essentially issued a stataement without issuing a statement. This gives her plausible deniability when the repercussions come her way.

Your source is about as reliable as Jon Klein of CNN who made up a story that ALL paper documents in HI records were destroyed when the electronic files were created. Klein even had Lou Dobbs mouth the sycophantic LIE on air.

Okubo says she got a copy of her own birth certificate last year and it is identical to the Obama one we received.
And about the copy we e-mailed her for verification? When we looked at that image you guys sent us, our registrar, he thought he could see pieces of the embossed image through it.
