Both are just movies. Both are pretty good movies. As far as a man making a decision to return to a war zone when he has a family that is a tough one.
I made that choice a couple of times. His wife knew what he did for a living. Every combat vet knows the call of war. Going back with that other family is a very real pull on your heart and soul. I don't think the metrosexuals will really understand what it means to be a warrior. It is much more than just words it is a lifestyle with rewards and built in pitfalls. A wife will never fill the hole of not being among like souls leaves in a person. Those that think they can are not in touch with reality.
I retired a long time ago and I still feel the pull. When they bury me the last thing I will hear is TAPS and that is as it should be.

I agree. Good thing about FR we all have different views on a subject and agree to diaagree.

I have seen HURT LOCKER and it’s as fair as it can be. Bigelow could have made it more lefty (and there were possibilities, believe me) and liked it. I’m one of the Freepers who asks other Freepers for movie reviews before I plunk down $$ for Hollyweird. thank you for your service, my friend.
