*IL politics ping*
In 2006, I was a precinct committeeman, in Lake Co., and the county chairman, Dan Venturi, voted for vacant precincts, in the election for IL GOP State Central committeeman, in the 10th District, although he lives in the 8th District. He should have had 0 votes, in that race, according to state law, but he had more than 500 votes. I forgot the exact number. I voted for Ray True, and the other conservative was Ruth O’Connell. Because Venturi violated a law, the winner was Tolbert Chisum. I was one of six people who sued Venturi, but the judge threw out the suit. She said that the plaintiffs didn’t have standing to sue, although all of us were precinct committeemen, of the 10th District.
