The Congressional Budget Office completed its scoring of the budget submitted by President Obama. Its projection is a warning that the United States faces real economic trouble. Based on their numbers the United States will be running an annual deficit of approximately One Trillion Dollars/Year (over 60% higher than the President's projection).

To put that into perspective, during the heavy spending Bush years the highest deficit was $459 billion dollars. Once Barack Obama became President, and was able to get his hands on the second half of the 2009 budget, deficits started exceeding the trillion dollar level. Obama's budget above makes the trillion dollar figure seem common place.

Forgot to mention- the speculators seem to be at it again (oil). The more this administration keeps putting trillion dollar plans on the table, the weaker the dollar will be against the price of oil.

I can't imagine anyone stupider than the Chilihead-in-Chief to cause energy prices to rise without any plans to drill or produce our own oil in place. But, he's demonstrated an ineptitude unlike any other so-called 'leader' in a number of other ways to suggest that, yes, he's that stupid.

A year from now, we may look back at $3.00/gal. as the good 'ole days.

To put that into perspective, during the heavy spending Bush years the highest deficit was $459 billion dollars...which by the way was reduced to a mere 100 billion within three years because the evil Bush tax cuts produced such an increase in revenue in spite of 9/11 and the need to rebuild our military after Clinton slashed it to squander the "Peace Dividend" (see chart on CBO website) - but we won't talk about that........
