Her only standard for authentification was to say it looked like her own birth certificate. That's not exactly a scientific examination nor even a formal government procedure. The Times sent her a jpg, not the hard copy of the document. Yet, despite the non-affirmation of the COLB, the Times simply accepted it as real ... perhaps only on wishful think or misguided faith. Real journalists demand more proof than a jpg and a confused DOH spokesbabe.
