There have been several posts in this thread that have stated that a person could “send $20 to the state Health Department and get their long form birth certificate.” That is inaccurate but I was never implying that YOU said that.
The long form can most certainly be generated for a court case, such as a divorce/custody hearing. It just happens to no longer be standard practice.
