I think if I was a Dem, I'd vote for it. They are probably going to lose even if they vote against it, so what the hell. Might as well go down fighting.

If I was a Dem I would not vote for it. I’d figure if the whole Debacle doesn’t pass, the voters will not be nearly as angry with me as they would be if it did.

That’s why the vote isn’t in a day or two but rather weeks away. They need time not for the pubbies but to cajole their own members. This alone tells me that Obie knows he does not have the votes and is trying to buy time.
