I apologize for beating a dead horse, but the saga continues as the White House will do anything to get their beloved health care reform bill passed, and look as non-partisan as possible in the meantime. It doesnt matter that the American people are in a literal revolt over the proposed bill, proceed the White House must!
The President purports to have a starting point for health care reform, one from which the Republicans can share their ideas, topics can be debated, concessions can be made, and American health care can be transformed. This is what occurred last year on the floors of Congress between the Democrats.
Democrats in power pushed their version of reform while Republican measures werent even debated let alone included in the bill this is for one reason and one reason only because the Democrats didnt need the Republican vote to get the bill passed. They spent months debating each other for every single Democrat to agree and as you well know, bribed certain members to get enough Aye votes in the end (lucky for us it took them too long).
Everything changed when Scott Brown was elected to the Senate, now the Democrats still need every single Democrat to agree, plus one Republican to pass the bill. So if the President and/or Democrats can offer that one special deal, that one concession to a maverick Republican, the deal is done. Plain and simple, this is what we are up against politicians with complete disregard for the wishes of the American people.

Without ObamaCare, the ‘RATS will never have total control over the “unwashed masses”. It’s a CONTROL thing.
0bama and the Congessional ‘Rats are not trying to look non-partisan. They’re trying to look post-partisan. What that really means is that Republicans don’t even exist legislatively in ‘Rat radar, if they can help it.
Like all zombies, it's going to be sent back to hell where it belongs
Maybe half-wit Glenn Beck can complain how Dems and Repubs are the same.

Rename, repackage, rewrite it a tad smaller, and sell another pig in a poke.
Tennessee has joined several other states in trying to pass a Health Care Freedom Act. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins. (DOD bill already passed, delayed but goes into effect 2011)

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollees cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.
Snip
The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.
President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees in fiscal 2010, Matz said. We took them at their word, and I cant believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward, he added.
Bambi doesn't keep his promises...so buyer beware.
