Wonder if he “axed” a “Corpseman”?
I heard ask, not axe.
I don’t know the origin of this, but I know and work with many Black people who speak the same way; ‘aks’ where the word ‘ask’ is concerned. They understand what the word means, but it seems to me that is physically difficult for them to pronounce it correctly. Long ago, I attributed it to education level, but I’m not really sure if that is it either. Further, I live in the midwest and it is fairly prevalent here. It almost seems as if it is something they can turn on or off at will depending to whom they are speaking.
I don`t care if he is the POTUS, why is he threatening to attack someone, and just who is the intended target of this axing?

I know exactly what you’re talking about. When one of my daughters went to college, she was sending me e-mails filled with middle-school jargon. I wrote back reminding her that she was now an adult, and if she wanted to be educated, she needed to write in complete sentences. I thought I’d be in big trouble with that one—but a few days later she wrote me a grammatically-correct e-mail—and was very proud of herself. I figure she should come up to my standards, because I’m not going down to hers.

Don’t take the race card bait kids... I’d be suprised if the TelePrompTer didn’t read out ‘axe’... Probably not an accident or we would have heard it before.
I was listening to 0, and I swear I heard him say axe instead of ask. I couldn’t believe my ears. Sure enough Rush cam on and talked about it.
Obama is so pathetic. He’s afraid of being called “Uncle Tom” I guess.
Maybe there can be some of the stimulus money alotted for studying this. I have always wondered why “Nergros” have a hard time with such word as ask (axe) and David (Davit) to name a couple. There is a college educated well raised “Negro” here at work that says ax instead of ask and I would love to know why?
Maybe you should axe him. :)
