In ways she can't imagine through surrogates that she won't see coming. They've found her Achilles heel.

Attacking her family again will turn off independents who did not intend to vote for Sarah. It will backfire and it will only highlight how depraved and desperate her opponents are.

Fair or not (and I think it is - in the "all's fair game except family" vein) she will be asked...

"We know what it took to get you to quit as governor...what will it take you to quit as President?"

There is no good answer for that. The handful of her FR fans don't need an answer but tens of millions of American voters do.

Come on, her support is easily in the millions
based upon the election results.

In fact, McCain and Palin were AHEAD, when Team Romney-care
began its vicious, misogynistic attack (leading to your disparagement).

"Frum was indeed a critic of Palin, calling her nomination a "huge mistake" during an October 13 (2008, weeks before the election) Early Show appearance."

David Frum: "Two of our most plausible candidates for president in 2012 are leading Mormons: Mitt Romney and Utah governor Jon Huntsman."

David Frum: "I have a lot of regard for Mitt Romney as a man and politician… I will support him without qualm."

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

Erick Erickson, who organized Operation Leper, said:
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

Kathleen Parker: "[I]t is increasingly clear that Palin is a problem." "Parker ... says something publicly that many of us have thought privately
but lacked the courage to say out loud - Palin should step down:"

"Kathleen Parker: After Interviews, Palin Should Bow Out"

Kathleen Parker: "Romney would bring more than squeaky clean qualifications
and youthful good looks to the ticket.
Romney would seem a logical choice."

"Parker: Romney raised bar on freedoms"
Kathleen Parker: "If Kennedy's speech was an important landmark in American political history,
Romney's was surpassing. With heartfelt humility and poetic eloquence,
he tracked the nation's struggle with and for freedom."

Staggering bigotry of Kathleen Parker - UPDATED"

What to hell is this site, Free Republic or Dummy Underground?

Between all the Beck Bashing since yesterday, and now Sarah dissing, I think I'll log off and come back tomorrow and see if it's still the same old CONSERVATIVE Free Republic that I remember?

Either that or there are a whole bunch of RomneyBots or Paulinistas here who are doing a hatchet job on Beck and Palin much the same as other mainstream RINO's have been of late and I wish y'all luck if you think one of them can get elected in 2012!

I'm not sure if Sarah will run or if she's up to it, but until such time as we know for sure, how's about we save our ire and attacks for The Community Agitator and all the other Demo-Rats????

MH-

You are arguing philosophy with a Hare Krishna at the airport. It's a fun thing to do as a time killer but no amount of logic or fact will stop the Hare Krishna from tapping his bells.

In the millions based on what real world data?

Based on what data?

The Tea Party movement and the conservative base, as well as independents and ex-Democrats turned off by Obama.

The next POTUS will need 70 million American votes. The majority of those would have to be from main-stream GOP and the independents (most of whom voted for obama). No way Palin would ever get anywhere near that number.

That "mainstream" GOP candidate your fantasizing about can't win without the conservative base. Palin has the conservative base locked up. They're not going to vote for anyone else other than the candidate Sarah endorses if she chooses not to run.

It's easier for Sarah to attract independents than it is for some other GOP nominee to attract the base.

btw...have you ever posted an argument that was substantive instead of riddled with name-calling? I don't think so.

Where did I name-call? "Bub?" That's not a name-call, that's standard par for the course here at FR.

Pfff. By the time she would have been done she’d have been so far in debt she couldn’t have run anway. The ethics system of the state of Alaska failed her. I don’t believe in quitting, but I don’t believe in sacrificing yourself on someone elses altar either.

I agree with you,,,, lost her chance when she quit. Palin quit as governor and stopped drawing a paycheck from the state of Alaska so she could move on to other things. Obama quit his job as Senator the day after he was elected, when he started running for president. He just didn't notify the treasury and kept drawing his paycheck. I'll take Palin's approach over Zero's any day.

Quit being disingenuous.
Your arguments have no merit and are simply shared by the majority. You're frustrated at Sarah's massive support, and it shows in your posts.

>>Sen. Evan Bayh quit too.<<

After two terms as governor and two terms as senator. Is Palin worship so blinding that you can’t see the difference?

There is no hard data because no election have been held yet (duh).

What I have though is subjective data. That will have to do for now :-)

After two terms as governor and two terms as senator.

Did right-wing operatives force Bayh to quit though?

I sincerely doubt that anyone here has been convinced of your argument, regardless of the countless number of times you have presented it.

You unwittingly paint the “conservative base” as a brain-washed cult poised to go happily marching off a cliff behind Sarah Palin.

Wrong, but I did, and do, admire her. I just don't bury my head in the sand when I believe she errs and I won't label folks who have legitimate disagreements w/her as trolls, or misogynists who beat up women.

Though I will admit to having a crush on Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, that is, unless she supports McCain.
