Big Business has always preferred security to risk. Hitler made deals with many of the big businesses like Krupp and Siemens (I think they’re the ones who made the gas chambers), and I see Obama making deals with the big-time oligarchies to maintain order and enrich a few wealthy people. In the meantime, small businesses and more flexible entrepreneurships struggle with the new taxes and regulations put on them in the past year.
There is similarly no clause in the constitution gauranteeing to you personally a profit.
Indeed. Big business can see no further than the next end-of-quarter and ever larger CEO bonuses. Like the Krupps, Siemens', and other Junkers, they think they can control the guy in power for their own benefit - only to find out too late that they go down with the country.
Eisenhower warned of the "military-industrial complex" but the "global competition complex" are even worse - and more successful. It took 'em 30+ years to gut the Middle Class for their own profit, and are now finding out they've laid off each others' customers. Anyone who thinks this country will recover under this present scenario is dreaming.
