Not surprised, Illinois needs a good clean-up, it’s the little Washington D.C. as far as corruption!
I live in the area, and heard a public official and candidate say yesterday that this was a “done deal” and the IL legislature has no right to meddle in it. As you no doubt know, Thomson employees were sent termination notices this week, the state is set to close it 4/30. Then Quinn will be able to declare it “surplus” and try to sell it.
As much as the locals want and need some jobs out of this long-term fiasco, I truly hope there is some way to keep this tied up in courts for years. In the eyes of the public, it is far from a “done deal”.
I hope that Rosanna Pulido will defeat him, in the race for IL GOP State Central Committeeman, in March.
