One of the few things both Republicans and Democrats agree on is that our government has become so partisan that it is virtually paralyzed; unable to solve any of the major problems we face. In poll after poll the American people voice their frustration with the constant bickering and grandstanding. The animosity and political "gotcha games" between the parties have risen to new levels of ridiculous in large part because those in the media refuse to do their job.

WRONG. Government does not solve problems; it creates problems that we the people must put up with and work around.

Gov’t paralysis is generally a good thing.

While normally I’d agree with you, right now there are so many legislative threats out there (Obamacare, cap & trade, card check, etc.) that government has made, only government can remove those threats so that businesses can start creating jobs again.

Everything you listed is a government-created problem. Note that nowhere did I say government cannot correct the problems that it creates.

You will never see an article like this when Republicans are in power and the demoRats along with their henchmen in the press are blocking legislation, appointments, etc.

Actually, "the people's business" is exactly what is being done in Washington. It was the people who confronted their elected representatives at town hall meetings that put the fear of not being reelected in the demoRats mind. The Republicans basically did nothing because they knew they would be absolved because they voted against it.

When legislation is bad, it is the people's business to stop it, regardless of what the political class wants.

Washington isn't broken. It's working exactly as the Founders designed it.
