Nope, it doesn't sound like a Mossad OP to me; I wonder if Saudi money financed this? There was simply too big a mob of Mata Haris altogether in one place with fake passports for this to be a Mossad assassination.

I think hennie pennie asks a good question though. Surely the "team" must have known that their cover would be blown and the surveillance footage would be released. While Israel has motive and the know how, it begs the question of other intelligence services having an interest in seeing this man dead.

It is not at all clear that the Mossad did this. Maybe this guy was standing in the way of something the US wanted, or Britain. It strains credulity to think that our intelligence service no longer kills their opposition. Personally, I think this sort of thing goes on all the time.
