Of course he was a Marxist...just like the POSOTUS.

at least he seemed to practive the non violence that he preached...and to be honest his peeps were given a raw deal until the late 60’s or early 70’s.

Now the brother-man needs to know he can go as high and as far as any one else in the country and it is time to get off the Governments Teat...

Didn’t Robert Kennedy call MLK a communist?

I grew up in the 50’s. By the 60’s I was married and had 2 sons. I remember “Martin Luther” King, Jr, as being a trouble maker and a friend of the communist.

Martin Luther King Jr. ,the civil rights activist, may have been, but Martin Luther King (his father) was a preacher.

Most of these icons, like King, JFK, etc. have feet of clay. Their numerous faults and short-comings are conveniently overlooked. The difference is that you'll never see anyone in the media talking about King's dalliances with women, or his communist activities while “he was fighting for civil rights”. It would be labeled “racist&rdquo and you'd have the professional rabble-rousers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton showing up to make life miserable.

Maybe. US Capitalism and the Justice system hadn't treated working class black people fairly up to that point. You could not get a job based on qualifications. Skin color came first. You could be run out of town by the sheriff for no reason but some white person's complaint. If you lived in such a world where your freedom and personal liberty were so severely curtailed, would you support it's institutions of "freedom and liberty". Obviously not.

It was a different era, people.

So basically, you’re saying that all of our ancestors were evil, and the fruits of their labor was evil.

You sure you’re a “conservative?” What exactly are you trying to conserve?

Please, keep telling me how evil my grandparents were. It is really effectual.

Using your version of history, who would oppose the “progressive” movement? Only racists, right? Oops, you really didn’t think this through very well did you, troll?

I should have put this in my other post to you...but everything you say can be shut down with a few simple words...

Ok...we did all that. Who did better?

Who did better? What other nation decided to enact quotas for the minority? Who did better?

You look pretty stupid bleating about us not meeting a standard that no one else has met.

No, I never said all your ancestors were evil. They weren’t, most were normal. But the system was segregated by race, not ability, and that is fact. I know people of that generation and what they went through.

No doubt about it, he was a commie. Had the equal rights movement not been hijacked by the communists I really believe things would be much better today, with constructive solutions rather than exploitive manipulation.

Beck has done a great job exposing marxists that have been installed in this current administration and the previous decades in America.
Anyone who watches his show has seen his graphics and lead-ins.
I often wonder if quotes and images of MLK are used by some, as a social/political insurance policy against any accusations of racism?

A couple of times Beck has hosted a large group of black conservatives. Seems like one of his guests brought up that MLK was a communist.

I just don’t expect Beck to give it the same amount of attention that he gives other folks. It would be very divisive and lead to organized attacks against Beck. Even though its true, IMO.
