Joe The Plumber was out front in promoting himself. If I felt I was being exploited by a political figure, I’d just politely decline any public appearances or campaign appearances for everyone.

It’s ok to be humble, even in our media driven age, you know.

McCain actually offered Joe an opportunity to present himself. He was on track to be destroyed by the media, McCain gave Joe an opportunity to appear as a genuine human being and be humanized.

And, yes, McCain also did it to be elected. That was the point. He’s free to disagree with McCain, free to endorse Hayworth, but these sour grapes don’t do him any good emotionally, let alone whatever political goals he has.
