Sorry guys. You won’t get any traction with this. This was a mutual benefit contract. A governor is elected to protect the rights of the state’s citizens, not companies with which the state does business. It’s a long time MO of oil companies to enter into agreements with crooked politicians to tie up oil and gas leases just to keep them out of the hands of their competitors. In Alaska, the oil and gas belongs to the people of Alaska. So this activity cheats them out of money they are entitled to, and in a supply and demand market, raises the end price of the product for everyone. This case may go through several appeals, but in the end it’s the job of a governor to protect the state’s citizens from exploitation.

Bring this up as much as you like. It’s a net plus for Palin.
