OK, credibility check ?? Median 54% ??
Not credible poll.
Like it or not, Rick will get Republican nomination and be re-elected Governor.
He is certainly better choice than KBH, with all his faults. There is a lot about him to not like. Primarily his arrogance. I have never met him, although he is from my county. I have met his father, and they are similar.
I am impressed with Medina’s “fire in the belly”, but do not think it is possible for her to get the nomination. And if she did, think is is possible that White (a terrible candidate) might beat her in the general election.

Paul used to win these polls, as well. Then Election Day arrived, and reality set in. Same thing here. It would be interesting to see Medina take second ahead of KBH...that could send a message to the establishment that change IS coming over the next few years.

Perhaps not a scientific poll, but credible in its representation of the narrow group of people that visit the DBJ site.
I'm puzzled by those that find Perry to be inevitable. He's a weak candidate. He only won 39% in the last election and his opposition was also very weak. Bill White is significantly stronger than Chris Bell, my gut feel is that White would beat Perry. I fail to see the strength in coalescing behind a 39% candidate who's been in office (by Texas standards) way too long.
Remember, Texas never had a Governor serve more than 5 consecutive years in office until Perry. He's been there for 10, if elected 14.
Time to go Governor Perry.

The Beck interview this morning ended Ms. Medina’s chances of finishing second...I’m not a Texan; but I don’t think her response is going to play well there (or anywhere else).

Missed the comment and interview.
Do not watch TV, but my wife does. The heavy snow this morning had our satellite TV out.
I like Medina’s “fire in the belly” attitude.
