What is it with all the fancy stamps anyway? Why is a government agency spending our money making pretty things for people to collect and for various factions to argue about? How about just printing the denimination on the stamps and calling it good?

The USPS collects more revenue when stamps are bought and unused. Stamp collectors have fun.

There was nothing wrong with it until politicizing everything and political correctness entered the picture.

While it is true that Blessed Mother Theresa of Calcutta will be Canonized a Saint, her image on a US postage stamp notwithstanding, I second the observation of ‘T Minus Four’ below, except I would print a 3D barcode along with the human readable stamp value and discount the stamp 3 cents because it then becomes functional.

A lot of money to be made off of stamp collectors, I know, I used to be one.
