I just had a dem attorney walk by me joking to another attorney about notes on his hand. Maybe that's more to your position than mine. I just find this whole thing silly.
All I can say is that Ronald Reagan would not have handled it that way.
You're right. He would have used the spoken word to disarm his enemies. That was thirty years ago. Now, the medium has changed and Mrs. Palin is using that which works today. Visuals as well as the spoken word.
Whether we like it or not the bumper sticker slogan is an effective tool against those with limited attention spans.
“I just had a dem attorney walk by me joking to another attorney about notes on his hand”
You mean the sort of lawyers that have piles of paper in front of them whenever they have to speak in public? Or when they do give long discursions without a piece of paper to read from, sound like complete robots?
I, for one, always speak extemporaneously in public. I think it looks better. But I’m in the minority. The extreme minority.
Geeeez, lighten up already!
Please tell the group, you self-absorbed yenta, exactly how you know this. You must've been on a very personal or even professional level with Reagan to make this claim. Were you a good friend and neighbor or did you work in the Reagan admin?
>that Ronald Reagan would not have handled it that way>
You know this how?
I actually met Reagan and talked to him.
Worked at his headquarters here in San Diego when he first ran for gov.
Saw him many times in person as Gov. and President.
He vacationed here when Gov.
He had a real sense of humor and Sarah Palin’s sense of sarcastic humor is much like his was.
Michael Reagan, his son has said she is much like his dad.
