The left wing “news” network that couldn’t bother itself to cover the Christmas Day jihadi attack on America, interrupted its time honored weekend prison documentary marathon to cover Sarah Palin’s speech at the National Tea Party convention in Nashville.

So compelling is Palin that MSNBC staffers braved a colossal global warming storm to get to the studio to carry her speech and provide MSNBC’s emblematic hallucinatory commentary. Forced to make do with whatever dregs could be hauled in from the blizzard, the Palin denigration was chaperoned by someone named Ed Schultz.

First to offer his freakish assessment was perennial failure and democrat hack, Bob Shrum whose blundered campaigns include:

“We interrupt this broadcast to tell you how utterly irrelevant Sarah Palin is.”

Rest of blogpimp's article :

1968 Ed Muskie (Lost) 1972 George McGovern (Lost) 1988 Michael Dukakis (Lost) 1992 Bob Kerrey (Lost) 2000 Al Gore (Lost) 2004 John Kerry (Lost) Chief Strategist

Schrum described Palin’s speech as a “Masterful exercise in paranoid politics from a merchant of hate.” Shrum was so excited about this line, which no doubt took him weeks to concoct, he admitted on the air that he’d had it written down; no doubt on his palm.

While the left keeps “advising” the republicans that they must ordain themselves a leader, Palin got it exactly right. No one person can or should lead the conservative movement. By nature, conservatives put a premium on liberty and personal responsibility. Democrats would like nothing more than for us to designate a cult leader and follow him or her off the same kind of cliff from which they are leaping in en masse.

What Schrum thought was hate speech was Palin showing the republicans how it’s done. A president whose economic, defense and homeland security policies are horrific deserves to be called out. In fact, leaders of the loyal opposition have a moral obligation to call out, block, obstruct and change policies that are dangerous for America.

“It’s that same kind of misguided thinking that is seen throughout the Administration’s foreign policy decisions. Our President spent a year reaching out to hostile regimes, writing personal letters to dangerous dictators, and apologizing for America. And what do we have to show for that? Here’s what we have to show. North Korea tested nuclear weapons and longer range ballistic missiles. Israel, a friend and a critical ally, now question[s] the strength of our supports. Plans for a missile defense system in Europe? They’ve been scrapped. Relations with China and Russia are no better. And relations with Japan — that key Asian ally — they’re in the worse shape in years.”

Palin used this opportunity to clarify the beauty of the Tea Party movement as a genuine citizens revolt against the overreaching power grabbers:

“Now the foundational principles in all of this, it’s easy to understand. It really is — even I though I think D.C. would just love for us to believe that this is all way over our heads. Somebody in Tennessee, somebody up there in Alaska, she’ll never understand what we’re talking about here in D.C. No, this is all pretty simple stuff. When our families, when our small businesses, we start running our finances into the red, what do we do? We tighten our belts and we cut back budgets. Isn’t that what we teach our children — to live within our means? It’s what Todd and I do when we have to make payroll, buy new equipment for our commercial fishing business. We have to plan for the future, meet a budget.”

Most importantly, Palin made it clear that the Tea Party movement belongs entirely to the people, not to any politician.

“The soul of this movement is the people — everyday Americans who grow our food and run our small businesses, teach our kids, and fight our wars. They’re folks in small towns and cities across this great nation who saw what was happening — and they saw and were concerned, and they got involved. Like you, they go to town hall meetings, and they write op-eds. They run for local office. You all have the courage to stand up and speak out. You have a vision for the future, one that values conservative principles and common sense solutions. And if that sounds like you, then you probably too are feeling a bit discouraged by what you see in Washington D.C.”

The Obama apostles at MSNBC can continue to fume about Palin; but, they gave themselves away when they bowed to the power and relevance of Sarah Palin, even eschewing their top rated prison documentaries.

Thanks for the posting.

I believe that these MSNBC'rs are literally shocked that so MANY Americans genuinely like Governor Palin, and that shock has made them fail to realize that by slamming Governor Palin day in, and day out, they are going to get a backlash -- which creates ever greater support for Sarah, as the people are MSNBC do not understand that their coterie of close friends simply do NOT hold anything in common with the vast majority of Americans.

I really wish Chrissie Matthews would get a neurological workup from a top notch team of neurosurgeons, there's something just WRONG with The.Tingler.
