It's pretty weak that 'denier' was the Greenie Weenie's most pejorative term. One of science's greatest tools is skepticism. One of its greatest features is that it can be dis-proven.
There is a great deal of evidence that the Earth is round and that it orbits the sun. I am not afraid to present this evidence to anyone who denies it. Yet, I'm also not afraid to modify the finer points. For instance, the Earth is not perfectly round. It is more correct to say that the Earth-Moon system orbits the Sun. It was long believed that the Earth floats in a substance called 'ether' because there was no such thing as a vacuum in nature. This was eventually dis-proven, and life went on.

Tom Selleck has said the following on several occasions, including his infamous guest appearance on the Rosie O'Donut show. It applies here as well:
What disturbs me and I think disturbs a lot of Americans is the whole idea of politics now-a-days which seems to be, "if you disagree with me, you must be evil" as opposed to "if you disagree with me, you must be stupid".
The conscious decision to label skeptics as deniers, can only be explained as an attempt to demonize (i.e., "you must be evil") those who hold a different opinion.

Actually being called a "denier," by an idiot supporter of criminal fraudsters is actually a compliment. I have been looking for "AGW Denier... and Proud" bumper stickers.
If they can't be bothered to look at the evidence of fraud presented by real scientists, they can go right ahead and continue to look like fools.
Works for me!
