Plays right into Governor Rick Perry’s hands, yes?
Probably will at this late stage in the game but that would be KBH’s fault if it does. I suspect you’ll find that Perry supported, asked for or welcomed a lot of the pork that KBH sent Texas way. She was the top Republican on the Committee thus in a position to get things through just as Frank was able to do so in the House. No doubt it brought lots of money into Texas. Too bad Perry had to use stimulus money this time around to balance his budget otherwise we’d have been looking at some very tough budget decisions down here. Those decision will have to be addressed in the next legislative session.
We’ll know in 23 days how this mess will play out.
