[During a portion of the show where a young child it introduced to a friendly whale, the pelican landed onto the pool. Suddenly out of nowhere one of the whales lunged at it from underneath the water, caught it in it's jaws, and dragged the bird under the water, thus drowning it.]
So when's PETA filing the lawsuit against Sea World citing animal cruelty to the Pelican - and claiming the child should have been drowned instead?

I remember that. They had a school band and everything to send off the otter. In reality the band and the crowd of people are the very reason the whale was alerted to something going on. Then he realized there was something going on. The nice humans were offering him some food for dinner and music to relax him with.
If I am not mistaking it cost the taxpayers something like $90,000.00 to clean up the whales food.

Since the show had been cut short, the bewildered audience responded with clapping and cheering as each part of the Pelican was retrieved from the pool. They probably thought the crew would put the pelican back together.

They might grab the kid too if she fell in the water. Reflexes take over sometimes.

Wow. Killed it and tenderized the meat at the same time. A couple years ago a two of us retired guys were setting up elk camp for our party, when two of the younger guys showed up with a rabbit for dinner.
Turns out they had run it over on the way into camp. "Tread tenderized."

I've seen sharks slide part way out of the water chasing fish along the beach, they don't have any inhibition about it and they get back to deeper water with no problem.
The idea that you're safe in knee deep water isn't neccessarily so.

Yes, that’s the way it used to be, in the seventies. Proof of climate change. Send this to the IPCC.

Oh yea, you remember that documentary with Tommy Lee Jones and that lesbian Anne Heche, right? I think it was called
Volcanoe.
Well any way that was back in 1997, and since then because of George Bush's tax cuts and Global Warming and all, a whole mountain grew up and is even covered with snow now.
After all, snow is a result of Global warming yeaknow?

That mountain reminds me greatly of Rainier, or possibly Hood, although it seems to near Puget Sound to be Hood, and Hood is shaped more nearly like the ideal volcanic cone.

There was a man killed on Hatteras Island by a shark maybe nine years back. IIRC he was wading in knee-deep water with his new wife.
