Based on the concepts of “We the people” and “Republican Form of Government” - most people say our form of government is a “Federal Democratic Republic” What is true is the founding fathers wrote that government derives it’s authority from the consent of the governed.
It is also true that what prevents mob rule is the rule of law which is embodied in the U.S. Constitution.
We the people wrote the laws of the Constitution to serve us and to form a union in which we live and follow, life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
The model which we have chosen is a Representative model or a Republic.
Therefore we are a Democratic Constitutional Republic
