Right now it is very easy for Palin supporters to be upset, and well they should be.

Jaun Mcamnesty is a progressive, not conservative.

Mrs. Palin is calling her own wisdom into question by supporting this idiot.

It appears to me that "we the people" are on our own.

Like it or not, in order to be nominated and win the presidency Palin must get the support of the liberal wing of the Republican Party and right-leaning Democrats. McCain is the leader right now of that wing. Goldwater ran as an ideologue and failed to get the support of the Rockefeller/Scranton wing and got trounced. Reagan recognized this and named the leader of the moderate/liberal wing as his running mate. People can savage Sarah for her support of McCain but in doing so show their ignorance of political history and reality.
