The article is exactly right. Even if this "freeze" goes as proposed it's $250 bln over 10 years. That's pretty much a rounding error. It's one more example of "how do we fool the rubes this time"
So we “freeze spending” when we are spending 1.3 trillion more than we take in? What a budgetary solution!
Let’s see. Obama’s discretional funding increased 24% last year. So freezing it for 3 years still amounts to an 8% increase each year. Brilliant. I’m in awe.
