More than 15,000 HISD teachers, principals, instructional and non-instructional staff will receive performance pay totaling $40.4 million tomorrow for helping children improve in the classroom. This exceeds last years payout by approximately $8.8 million.

Yep, the Texas ISDs seem to think that money is falling off the trees in bushel baskets. Putting this into prespective a bit more the Beaumont ISD just voted a 3.9% raise to their highly touted Superintendent who had a salary of $334,212 and just under 20,000 student enrollment. The Houston ISD Superintendent has a salary of $327,010 and just over 320,000 students. The President of the US salary is $400,000 and the VP’s is $221,000. The ISD administrations are becoming a money pit with little value to the public, imo.
