Fox News was the top cable network in primetime last week, averaging the most total viewers between January 18th-24th. The last time FNC topped USA and came in first was during the week of the 2008 presidential election.
In a week dominated by coverage of the earthquake in Haiti and the U.S. Senate election in Massachusetts, FNC drew an average of 3.2 million total viewers in primetime (Mon-Sun).
Fox was ranked 3rd in total day. CNN was 22nd in primetime and 19th in total day, and MSNBC was 25th in primetime and 31st in total day.

RACISM!
A populist, right wing ascendency will not be a good thing for conservatism.
Some lefties have said they’d like their cable systems to drop Fox News. If you’re a cable system your response is, are you crazy? Given its popularity there would be an uprising to bring it back!
What in the “right-wing ascendancy” would not be good for conservatism?
Of all cable? wow
Gerlado and Shep Smith are not conservative.
Fox News is fair to both sides, unlike other channels.
If I have to explain...fuhgeddaboudit.
Fox 'not really news,' says Axelrod
Educate us, please.
Educate yourself.
I am.
I do this by asking questions.
Right now I am asking you a direct question: What in the right-wing ascendancy would not be good for conservatism?
I'd like to know what you mean by your comment.
For those timid RINOs that think they have to run to the center to get votes, they should consider this piece of anadotal evidence.
FOX - conservative
CNN - moderate
CNN Headline - moderate
CNBC - moderate
MSNBC - liberal
We can argue whether the moderate ones are really liberal later, the point is EVERYONE agrees they aren’t conservative.
One conservative channel vs. four non-conservative channels. And what is the result? FOX not only has the most viewers, in many time slots they have more viewers than the other four channels combined. Say it again: COMBINED!
Opinion polls can always be slanted (and usually are), but ratings are money. They don’t get slanted. The lesson here is that despite the “most Americans are moderates” mantra, when they spend their money and time they don’t go moderate (much less liberal) they go conservative.
Looks like most of the CNN and MSNBC viewers are watching the Toons channel
Pretty sad day in America when a huge protest happens in Washington D.C.,and a large part of them are Senior Citizens........and then ignored.
If one is a conservative a populist, right wing acendency WILL be a good thing for conservatism. If you are a liberal a populist, right wing ascendency will be a good thing for conservatism but a death knell for you. So no matter how you cut it, whether conservative or liberal, the populist, right acendency WILL be great for convservatism.
