This episode is one at-bat in a long baseball game that the libs are winning. We can celebrate them wiffing (I’d argue we haven’t even gotten to strike 3 yet), but if you check the scoreboard, they aren’t doing so bad. Social security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment benefits, etc. The national government is not restrained.
The problem with that ‘scoreboard' is that the Republican Rarty has been on the same side as liberals on that war. I have a separate redistribution ping list that addresses that but it is non-partision. Expansion of entitlements (prescription drugs) was a accomplishment of the great conservative experiment: president GWB and republican congress. “Conservatives will give up their entitlements to save the country, when liberals give up transportation and electric to save the planet” (someone pinged me with this)
The point of this post is that the Obama revolution, which we were warned (even here) over and over would takeover everything, has been is morally wounded and November is the bullet in the head.
