Horrible as it may be, it is true. McCain was not a great candidate, but that is no excuse for conservatives to have sat out the election or thrown away their vote on a loser third party candidate or write-in. Any vote which did not aid the McCain/Palin ticket aided the Obama/Biden one, and for that I can’t forgive them.
I believe that if McCain had been elected, it would have ruined any chance Sarah had for a future in politics. I also believe that there would have been no tea parties with a President McCain - AND - that he would be, at this moment, GLEEFULLY planning the same type of Healthcare Reform, Cap & Trade, etc - that Obama’s administration is trying for. The difference would be that there would be NO opposition.
I prayed for GOD to help our country - in my mind, I was meaning to help get McCain/Palin elected. When that didn’t happen, I have to believe that this is all GOD’s will. He does work in mysterious ways.
Think of it this way, the same people who are trashing her now calling her a RINO(Which is such a ridiculous name, I Really have no clue where that term came to me) would have called her a TRAITOR if she supported Hayworth or someone else. They would have said “How dare she turn her back on John McCain, he gave her a platform to speak, he gave her an opportunity to become Vice President, and this is how she repays him..she is SO ungrateful.” I remember when the whole “Visorgate” issue came out, where she “erased” the name of McCain’s name from her hat in Hawaii, these same people, you would think, would have been applauding her right, some did, but the rest were saying she was nuts to do that, that she is a traitor to McCain, but then when she said she was supporting him, BOOM, they call her a RINO. Funny how they don’t call Scott Brown a RINO, he not only is supporting McCain, but is doing ROBO CALLS for him in Arizona..ROBO CALLS for God’s sake, but nah, he is a “Scott Brown Republican” not a RINO..how about Romney, Huckabee, Pawlenty, what are they..I guess they are super mega RINOS
